Best Coworking Spaces in Addis Ababa for Digital Nomads and Remote Workers 2026

There are dozens of websites that will give you a list of coworking spaces in Addis Ababa. Most of them are aggregators. They pull data from Google Maps, list an address, and leave you to figure out the rest when you land.

This is not that.

Every space in this guide has been verified by the Zenvivas team. We have confirmed pricing, checked WiFi speeds, and spoken directly with operators. This is the guide we wish had existed when we first started mapping Addis Ababa’s workspace infrastructure.

Addis Ababa is the most underrated remote work base in East Africa right now. It is significantly cheaper than Nairobi and Kigali, has a functioning coworking scene that has grown substantially since 2023, and sits at the centre of the most connected aviation hub on the continent. Ethiopian Airlines flies direct to more African cities than any other carrier. If you move through Africa multi-city, Addis is the logical base.

The eVisa is straightforward. The SIM card situation is simple. The cost of living is real. Here is where to work.

NEST COWORK

WiFi: 100 Mbps
Rating: 4.6 stars

Find on Zenvivas: zenvivas.com

The most established coworking space for international nomads in Addis Ababa. Bole Road address puts you walking distance from the best coffee shops in the city and ten minutes from Bole International Airport. Consistent power backup, air conditioning throughout, and a community that mixes Ethiopian tech founders with international remote workers passing through East Africa.

Hot desks, dedicated desks, private offices, and meeting rooms. The day pass at ETB 400 is among the most accessible in the city for nomads who want to test a space before committing.

Zenvivas verified tip: We contacted the Nest Cowork team directly. They confirmed that Bole Road foot traffic means the open hot desk area fills up by 10am on weekdays. If you are arriving for a full work day, come before 9am or book a dedicated desk in advance through Zenvivas. The private offices are the best value for anyone staying more than two weeks — the monthly rate per sqm beats anything comparable in Nairobi.

KAZANA ADDIS

Location: Kazanchis, Addis Ababa
Price: From ETB 4,800 per month (approx. $40)
Day pass: ETB 350 (approx. $3)
WiFi: 80 Mbps
Rating: 4.4 stars
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm. Saturday 9am to 4pm.

Kazanchis is Addis Ababa’s emerging business district. Kazana sits in the middle of it. Lower foot traffic than Bole, quieter working environment, and a community that skews toward consultants, NGO professionals, and Ethiopian startup founders rather than tourist-circuit nomads. If you want to be embedded in where Addis Ababa’s professional community actually works rather than where the hotels are, this is the location.

Reliable fibre connection with backup power. Smaller and more focused than Nest. The ETB 4,800 monthly rate is the best value for a dedicated coworking membership in the city.

Zenvivas verified tip: Kazana runs weekly community events on Thursday evenings, typically a founder roundtable or skills exchange session. If you are in Addis for a sprint and want to meet the local ecosystem rather than other nomads, show up on a Thursday. The connections from those sessions are the reason consultants keep coming back to this space.

ICE ADDIS

Location: CMC Road, Addis Ababa
Price: From ETB 6,500 per month (approx. $55)
Day pass: ETB 500 (approx. $4.30)
WiFi: 150 Mbps
Rating: 4.7 stars
Hours: 24/7 access for members
Backup power: Yes
Find on Zenvivas: zenvivas.com

The premium option. ICE Addis has the fastest WiFi of any coworking space we verified in the city, 24/7 access, and backup power that holds during Addis Ababa’s occasional outages. CMC Road is further from the city centre but that is the point — quieter streets, easier parking, and a professional building that signals credibility to any client you bring in for a meeting.

Private offices, dedicated desks, meeting rooms with video conferencing setup, and event space. The 24/7 access is rare in Addis Ababa and makes this the only space in the city suitable for nomads working across time zones or running late calls with clients in North America or Europe.

Zenvivas verified tip: The 150 Mbps connection at ICE Addis held consistent during our verification, including during peak hours. For any nomad whose work depends on reliable upload speeds — video production, live client calls, large file transfers — this is the only space in Addis we would stake that on. The ETB 6,500 monthly rate is still less than half the equivalent workspace cost in Nairobi.

TOMOCA COFFEE BOLE

Location: Bole Road, near Edna Mall, Addis Ababa
Hours: Monday to Saturday 7am to 8pm. Sunday 8am to 5pm.
Price: Café pricing. No membership required.
WiFi: Free, available throughout
Find on Zenvivas: zenvivas.com

Not a coworking space. Something better for certain kinds of work days. Tomoca is the most respected coffee roaster in Ethiopia. Bole Road location. The coffee is exceptional by any standard. The WiFi is free and functional. No one will ask you to leave.

This is where Addis Ababa’s creative community works on the days they do not want an office. Founders, writers, consultants, and academics who have been coming here for years. There is no membership, no contract, and no commitment. Order a macchiato and open your laptop.

Zenvivas verified tip: Tomoca Bole fills up between 9am and 11am. Arrive before 8:30am to secure a spot near a power socket. The back section is quieter and has better WiFi signal than the front terrace. Ethiopian coffee culture means refills are expected — you will not be rushed, and the second macchiato is the one you want.
