Ajman is where I based Zenvivas from.

The smallest emirate in the UAE and the most affordable by a significant margin. A 1-bedroom apartment in the center costs $500 per month versus $1,500 in Dubai for the same size. Same UAE infrastructure. Same 5G network. Same visa. Forty minutes to Dubai by car when you need it. I know this city from the inside and it is the reason Zenvivas was built with the UAE as a home base.

A comfortable nomad month in Ajman runs $1,095 to $1,750. City center 1-bedrooms average $500 per month with 3-bedrooms at $1,100. Outside the center studios start from $325 per month making Ajman the most affordable place to live in the UAE by far. The Al Jurf and Corniche areas give you the best daily quality of life with beach access, the Ajman waterfront, and the fish market within walking distance. Come between October and April. The summer months from June to September are extreme and outdoor life effectively stops.

The coworking scene in Ajman is smaller than Dubai or Abu Dhabi but growing. Regus operates in the emirate and the Ajman Free Zone offers coworking desks alongside business licence packages starting from AED 8,500, one of the most affordable legal business structures in the country. For nomads who need a more active coworking community the 40-minute drive to Dubai gives access to Letswork, NexWork, flowork, and the full range of options without paying Dubai rent. The nomad community in Ajman is emerging rather than established. You will find other remote workers here but you will not find the density of community events or meetups that Dubai offers.

Internet speed averages 250 Mbps with full UAE 5G coverage across the emirate. The power grid is excellent. Getting around Ajman requires either a car or Careem. The city is compact enough that a bicycle works well within the Corniche area but cross-emirate movement is car-dependent. Ajman is more traditional than Dubai in character, alcohol is available only in licensed hotel venues, and the pace of life is genuinely slower which for many nomads is exactly the point.
